Katie O'Neil

Mental Health Therapist, LPC-IT

Katie O'Neil graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2010 and spent over a decade working in social work, focusing on child welfare and juvenile delinquency. Recognizing the profound impact of mental health services on overall well-being, she returned to school and earned a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Regis University in Denver, CO. Before joining CTN, Katie worked at a group practice in the Denver metro area, providing individual and family therapy to children, teens, and adults.

As a holistic therapist, Katie incorporates various therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including Synergetic Play Therapy, Theraplay techniques, Internal Family Systems, and attachment theory. She is deeply inspired by the human capacity to overcome challenges and strives to embody this mindset in her work. As a parent of two children, Katie also understands the joys and vulnerabilities of parenting, and she views collaboration with caregivers as a vital aspect of treatment progress.

In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with her partner and their children, getting outdoors whenever possible, gardening, tackling home projects, and exploring the local gems of Madison.
