Family Sync Yoga

Join us for this innovative yoga class designed to support the parent-child relationship.

In this 6-week series, little om BIG OM yoga instructors and CTN therapists will use games, music, partner and group poses, and more to playfully build skills of regulation, mindfulness, relaxation, and self-awareness.  Our goal is to support the parent and child to both find their inner ability to calm in order to be able to engage together effectively.  Classes will be run by a certified yoga teacher/social worker and a mental health therapist/yoga teacher and an occupational therapist who all have a passion for supporting the mind/body connection in relationships.

Come connect, move, breathe, and strengthen your bodies, minds, and relationship! These classes are designed to be interactive, community-building, and most of all-fun! Registration will be for the whole series.

Waelti Horse Farm

The Power of Horse Assisted Therapeutic Training

This session will discuss how a partnership between horse and child can improve relationships, sensory regulation and communication for the child as well as reducing symptoms of trauma and abuse.  Through the act of caring for and communicating with animals, children are able to learn about themselves in a way that is not possible through human interactions alone.  Marcy Waelti is a horse lover and trainer in the Parelli method, a natural approach to supporting the horse through connection, regulation and the power of self.  In the past years, Marcy has been exploring the connection between children and horses when working on these skills.

Marcy provides training in to children and adolescents of all abilities and has a special gift in meeting children where they are at and guiding their experience in a way that is safe for them both emotionally and relationally.  Learn about this modality as an adjunct to traditional therapy, or as a “key” to helping a child connect and learn.
